I have been an artist since I discovered at fourteen that I could draw. I completed a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) at Queen’s University, majoring in painting and printmaking, and I have never stopped making art since. My studio practice remains central to who I am.
I have also been an art educator for nearly twenty-five years in classrooms from Cornwall to North Vancouver to Pemberton, from elementary school to Advanced Placement. In 2015 I finished my Masters of Education at UBC, and in 2026 I completed my Advanced Diploma in Art Therapy at the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute. I am a Professional Member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association (CATA) and a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT).
